CLOUD ENGINEER (MID LEVEL)

We are hiring a Mid Level Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and manage a platform based on OpenStack or Apache CloudStack. The role focuses on building scalable cloud infrastructure over bare metal servers including GPU enabled compute systems, while ensuring seamless integration with existing virtualized and hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage OpenStack based infrastructure
• Operate bare metal servers including GPU enabled compute nodes
• Manage full lifecycle of OpenStack services including upgrades and optimization
• Ensure integration across OpenStack core and extended services
• Support existing VM based and hybrid cloud environments
• Implement infrastructure automation using modern IaC tools
• Troubleshoot production issues across compute, storage, and networking layers
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams
• Maintain technical documentation and architecture standards

• Responsible for deploying, configuring, managing, and maintaining OpenStack cloud environments.
• The role includes operational ownership, troubleshooting, upgrades, automation and integration with systems.
• Hands on experience in open source cloud platforms such as OpenStack including deployment configuration administration and troubleshooting of cloud infrastructure environments

Required Experience

• Strong hands on expertise in enterprise infrastructure and virtualization:
• Server infrastructure management at production scale
• Virtualization technologies including KVM or QEMU
• Bare metal and GPU compute environments
• Linux system administration in enterprise environments
• Networking fundamentals including VLANs, routing, and firewalls
• Automation using Python, Bash, Ansible, or Terraform

Qualifications

• MS/BS degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in cloud or infrastructure engineering
• Proven experience in OpenStack deployment and production operations
• Strong ownership of end to end infrastructure systems

Preferred Skills

• OpenStack customization or contribution experience
• Kubernetes integration with OpenStack
• Ceph or distributed storage systems
• CI/CD for infrastructure automation
• GPU workload orchestration for AI/ML systems
• Cloud security hardening and compliance
