Q-Drive

Quantum-Safe USB Hardware Security Module (Q-Drive)

Cryptographic keys are the most valuable assets in modern digital systems. Advances in quantum computing are expected to weaken widely deployed public-key cryptographic algorithms, increasing the long-term risk to sensitive data and digital identities. Quantum-safe Hardware Security Modules (QHSMs) provide a trusted root for key generation, storage, and cryptographic operations designed to remain secure in the post-quantum era.

QuantumRonics is developing an indigenous Quantum-Safe USB Hardware Security Module (HSM) designed for endpoint, edge, and portable security applications. The device provides tamper-resistant key storage and cryptographic services using post-quantum cryptographic algorithms, while maintaining compatibility with existing security workflows.

Designed for ease of deployment, the USB form factor allows rapid integration into laptops, workstations, industrial systems, and secure environments without requiring specialized infrastructure. When used in conjunction with quantum networking or QKD systems, the device can securely consume externally generated quantum-derived keys while enforcing local pre-define cryptographic policies.
